arts centres, festivals and non-theatre venues.

Finally, you must have a great deal of experience in working for children

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:-

Character 1 - The Little Boy

This is a lovely role to play. The Little Boy is the central character to this, and three other Oliver Jeffers' stories, so all of the children will instantly recognise YOU as the little boy from the picture books (what an honour?).

We know that 'Boy' is very funny, sensitive, very curious, likes boats and is approximately 8 years old. But he is also quite a lonely little boy as he doesn’t have any friends of his own age.

Because this is a new piece of work, you will be instrumental in helping to develop the characters and story as a whole. So, bring us your ideas - we'd love to hear them!

Character 2 - Narrator, Penguin and secondary characters

Well, what can we say, apart from the fact that YOU will be very busy playing every other role in the show, so you need to love playing multi roles. You're also the main storyteller and puppeteer,. Oh, and you're playing the Penguin, too. So, this is a great role to get your teeth into.
